With this piece, I speak to you as the man behind the mask.

Both Siber and I have been through thick and thin. He and I share the same struggles. He and I share the same wishes.

I have stated before that I’ve thought of getting rid of him due to some unforeseen events. I now regret saying that to some degree. I don’t care about any negative things people say about me, because they probably don’t know me.

Siber and I are nearly interchangeable. I can’t tell if that’s a good thing or not. On one hand, I do see myself as him, as he is very similar to me. On the other hand, I don’t want to be hiding behind him all of the time. This indecision is what makes me question his existence.

Because even to me, Siber is an enigma.

I’ve said in the past that my relationship to the golden jackal was tenuous. I can say with confidence that is no longer the case. I have finally realized what he means to me.

I do not see him as my 'fursona'.

I see him as my idol.

Siber is a loving, kind, compassionate soul. He puts others before himself, but gets kicked around because of it. He’s been misunderstood by the only thing he could call a ‘family’. He’s had to start over in a new world.

But that doesn’t stop him.

He continues to follow his heart. He continues to work towards his goals. He lets nothing but himself stop him.

That courage and determination is what I idolize.

And I hope others can look up to him the same way I do.
