I found this pic at a yard sale and had to have it. This accident occurred on April 19, 1940. Cause of the wreck was excessive speed on a curve. The engine is J13 5315. I'm modeling the engine in HO and no it will not look like that. XD

The wreck at death curve occurred on April 19th 1940, it involves the New York Central at Little Falls new york at 11:30 am. The accident is the result of a derailment. The train involved is the Lake Shore Limited east bound. The estimate speed is 59 mph. 30 people are killed, and 62 injured. The cause of the wreck is excessive speed on a curve.
