My character Emily, who is a witch with an affinity with carrion animals. Like ravens. She would call them "friends" rather than "Familiars" but same difference. Her throat doesn't work right and she mostly doesn't speak. When she does, it's quiet and very raspy/rough. She smells like earth and plants and sometimes a little bit like decay, or a lot, depending on what she's been up to. She's not squeamish about dead things, and is very in tune with the death aspect of how life cycles. She appreciates life cycles in general, and has a lot of tenderness toward the dying, the dead, and those that eat and process the dead. Generally serious, frowns a lot, and distrusts humans.

I've been doing a fair bit of gray work in my sketchbook with two types of watercolor brush pens. Or, one is labeled as watercolor markers and I think the other is just a water based marker I like to fuck with. It's a fun way to work, but I should and want to pull out my actual watercolors a little more often. But this is still fun.
