Something about people's tendencies to physically hold or draw in on themselves when in emotional duress-- and the way that echoes our defensive reactions in response to physical threat-- remains a source of unspoken interest to me that appears time and time again in my artwork, without me necessarily realizing it's manifesting until it is already upon the page.
