Kit, upon discovering the human Kat, knew he had a one shot deal with her. Where ever she came from, he wanted to go. He needed supplies though. Leaving Kat by herself was not an option. She could make a run for it or worse another demon could find her. Solution? Throw her in a cage and cover it. Simple.
