Ok i'm confused who is he D: haha i never heard of Chip x3 i know the Trix Bunny, i always hate the fact he never gets to eat his cereal x3 but i dont know this character D: anyway awesome drawing :3 love the character and is that pencil? i mean a traditional drawing? looks like it...oh yeah it is 8D but they are mmm looks like those special markers how are they called? mmmm are they Chartpack?

Thank you very much! The character is Chip the wolf, from the cereals Cookie Crisp. In the comercials he's always trying to get some cereals, but he never got anything... Stupid selfish children! XD You can see several comercials about him here: http://www.ulimeyer.com/
About the tecnique, yeah, it's tradicional pencil, blue ink mixed with water for shadows and Windsor and Newton watercolours for colour.

I suppose that the idea of a mascot trying to steal the cereals and the kids avoiding it is a stereotype, in the same way that in all the shave machines commercials appear a man with square chin and naked torso just shaved and with a pretty lady rubbing his face

I was talking to scoot shaw about that subject of mascots for cereal several years ago. he explained to me the idea was to show that the cereal is something that someone is wiling to try and steal thus it has value and must be good so thus kids will want their folks to buy it for them. its a twisted idea to plant in kids minds if you ask me
