I was planning on drawing a piece for Dashinlocat's Birthday, but stuff kept coming up so I scribbled up and coloured this at the last second. I originally coloured directly over the pencil lines, but Camille and Calvin looked terrible so I inked everyone after the fact (I messed up Johnny's markings too...). If time permits, I may try to draw a more completed version of this picture when things get a bit less hectic for me...
In case you can't tell (the pencil lines didn't scan very well) this drawing features Johnny, Calvin and Camille involved in setting up for Dashinlocat's annual space-birthday spectacular!

Yay, happy birthday, Dashy! I'm sure he's gonna love the space cake and the thoughtful present, although I'm not sure if Calvin's completely happy with Camille's idea... ^.^

Thanks it was rushed, but I did have a lot of fun and I'm sure the piccy didn't mind the delay (He's a bit shy....)
At any rate, I'm sure everyone will have a great time its not everyday one gets invited to a super space-birthday after all. I do, however, hope Dashy decides to open his presents before the refreshments are served otherwise poor Calvin might not get any!

How very cute and creative. You can never beat the ingenuity that little ones have when it comes to ensuring good times are had by everyone. :)
I sadly do not know most of the cast here, but I think you did a fantastic job in drawing the little fox. Your lines aren't really all that bad, either.
If I might ask, what sort of technique do you use when you put together a fun work such as this? Do you first pencil, then ink, and then color? :)

Yep, Camille is good at picking out nice presents for people!
It's too bad you're not familiar with the cast, but they're all characters belonging to Dashinlocat and feature rather prominently in his pictures. The fox-boy is Johnny Swiftshire, the kitty-girl is Camille, and the tied-up wolfy-guy is Calvin.
Normally, I do the pencil first (I'm too heavy-handed to really call it sketching), then I go over the lines with a black pen, then once the ink is dry, I erase the pencil lines as best I can and begin colouring. On this pic, however, I was rushing to get it posted and tried to skip the pen. It looked terrible though, so I went back over it with a ball-point
