My first fursuit that I got to wear to MFF this year. I lasted On those stilts about two hours. Then needed to take them off. If I ever make those again then Ill be sure to add supports....I just got lazy this time.

That was a glare I used the paint tray trick for my follow me eyes, but I added to it a bit and attached plastic/glass fronts so they look more like the real macoy. Just ave to get past the fogging issue now...lol What kind of creatures are you making for your suits i I might ask?
my friend and i are making freakhounds which was a creation by
yellowfr3ak excellent creatures : p
we'll be doing the tails, feet, hand paws and the heads. may i ask what you used for the plastic/glass in the front? i wanted to try the same thing. but i'm not sure exactly what would look best.
also. getting past fogginess.. might i suggest you gut out some tiny holes from your actualy nostrils to maybe the back or the roof of the the mouth.

Well my suit was one of those...whateveryoucanfindaroundthehouse type suits...lol The head base is actually a baseball cap and a masquerade mask. as for the "glass" covers on my eyes, you know when you buy a package of blank Cd's, on the top is a clear plastic CD to keep the graphics of the uppermost one from scratching on the lid. I cut that up and used that. The whole thing with paws and tail cost me about 90 dollars to make. Unfortunately I have a feeling the one I'm working on will cost me a lot more. I'm working on a realistic suit with taxidermy eyes and tear-duct vision. Hehe and really long horns. I'm 5'2" and have to duck to go through and 6' doorway.

I was surprised you could walk in those 'stilts' for as long as you did. They're great for photoshoots, but for walking work, let's face it, there's a reason they run that stiletto spike from the heel to the ground for boots.
Anyway, hope to see you at MFF 2010, with luck I'll have my MK III head done for it, and perhaps we'll even run into each other from time to time here or on the LAFF list.
