I must say, I don't think I've seen a more personally thought provoking piece on this website or any other!
Four symbols, lets start with the spade and diamond, the lowerst of the four and the only symbols to have lines branching outside of the shape, and both at the top! Indication that the fish rots from its head? Or perhaps an example of how flaws, though troubling, can be turned into assets when embraced? Indeed the spade and the diamond together could very well symbolize a buried treasure, waiting to be unearthed? Perhaps from inside, this unity strengthens their imperfections? Above them, the clover! Flawed lines but the hand of a greater mind at work in its design, a higher being! And of course the clover comes from a tree, from nature, indicating a divine and omnipotent will above that of mother nature itself! And finally - the heart, flawless in its composition compared to the others, clearly symbolizing the incorruptibility of the living heart in the face of higher adversity! Even now as it sits there alone... solitaire! Your subtle outside clue! One, for one must find the one to have won this riddle!
That one is indeed the heart! The odd one out! A symbol of love, the only truly ethereal thing possessed among the four! It is alone, surrounded on all sides by odder, less perfect things, with no-one to project to outwardly, nowhere to run... but to the right, into the waiting grasp of the rabbit! The RABBIT! Another nature symbol, and we as furries could see the rabbit as ourselves perhaps?! Our anthropomorphic personification, what we choose to interact with and build a subculture around! It represents the physical, the base primal and carnal desires and our inescapable war for dominance between they and our true affections for others! Alas, the heart is alone save for the rabbit and an overwhelmingly large and black oily void of nothingness. Those are its options... THUS THE LINES! Breaking the void and berating the obvious choices in favor of outside thinking, symbolizing a metaconstructophisical breakout from the predetermined paths of fate and the IMMORTAL POWER OF THE SOUL WHEN OVERCOMING INSURMOUNTABLE CHALLENGES!
Yes, the heart and soul are one in the same! Normally they tell you to give your heart openly but in this case it will not be enough! Your heart is stronger, it must be thrust upon them! The rabbit and the heart must merge and become one, overcoming the spade of death, shattering the diamond of unobtainable perfection and devouring the clover to survive another day, until the heart has played out its course and transformed into soul, breathing light into the dark void forever more!
But I mean that's only my interpretation...
