- Hallelujah (Fox Amoore Feat. Colson) -
Mine and
's own version of Hallelujah. I created some instrumental sections, but kept it relatively simple. Took the favorite verses too, to save it being overly long with the instrumentals being in it.
Thanks very, very much to
for creating the official image for the song which can be seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3105241/
Thanks to those that take a listen!

It isn't a Christmas song, actually xD. Read the original lyrics some time.
"Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
You say I took the name in vain
I don't even know the name
But if I did, well really, what's it to you?
There's a blaze of light in every word
It doesn't matter which you heard
The holy or the broken Hallelujah"
They're actually rather dark.

I did this, but the song is such a male-orientated song in my opinion. Colson's voice is just angelic and perfectly in tune. I'd love to do a duet with him but I don't expect it will ever happen!!
Absolutely beautiful instrumental arrangement too. I love piano pieces. This is really lovely. A lot of people go with the way Jeff Bukley did the backing, even I do. But it's lovely like this, and it's just adorable.
I'm really impressed.
Keep up the great work. You're both so talented. I envy you both :D

Don't know if you will get to this comment after so many, but this is truely beautiful. Colson, you have a wonderful voice, and I think that you suit this song remarkably well. You're both definately an inspiration to keep me singing and trying to practice my intruments. Please keep up the good work, for you're both so very talented.

Honestly, I don't believe this. I'm a classical cellist, so I've learned to differentiate good music from bad, and this is great. I never bothered listening to music on FA, because I really didn't think there would be anything decent but... wow.
I'm sure you know this better than I do, but your equipment sounds amazing. The piano sound is great, I admit the cello sound even had me fooled, and the other effects were all very high quality.
Congrats - singing that I can't believe isn't professional combined with production that clearly is. Keep it up.

You two did a phenomenal performance here. It's such a tender and touching melody, yet very moving. I really enjoy how musically it was kept rather simple, venerable even, which allowed each of your talents to shine instead of masking it with some overproduction and volume. Bravo!
How about a Christmas album from you guys? Or any kind of album!

Wow. This is truly amazing. I very rarely comment on audio stuff, but this definitely deserves to have the time taken for me to say something. The instrumentals and especially the vocals came together to make something that sounds just so... heavenly. I think I can say that this is honestly my favorite version I've ever heard of this song. Is there any way to save music from here? I hit download, but it just shot it over to quicktime within another window.
Absolutely stunning, guys. Out of all the versions I've heard, this is the first one that truly seems to get the right balance between the contemplative, moody soul of the song's character, while still preserving an "epicness" (for lack of a better word, and not in the internet "epic") to the ballad. These collabs produce some brilliant work and I hope you keep it up. Maybe you can assemble enough songs (maybe some originals with the covers?) to produce your own album together!
Finally had time to listen to this song. THis is a great collaboration between to great artists here on FA. I see their star rising further than just here on FA. Colson, your voice is on pitch and a great force to be reckoned with. Fox, what can I say man, your piano skills are top notch. You will go places. and I teared up listening to this. /cry :)
You two really do yourself some amazing pieces, and I admire you for them. <3
And I can't help but sing along, even though I'm not that good. (Still working on it. >.<)
And I do love how this all works together when Colson sings, it's like living in a dream of...I can't figure out what to say, but you know where I'm going with this.
Anyways~
Keep doing pieces together, I love it, and as you see, so do many other people! ^^

My net is dogging down soooo slow night now *kicks the net*
I might or might not listen... I love your piano skills but I avoid christian themed music like the black plague... a result of being forced to listen to nothing but that for... years on end.
I bet you could make even christian music sound good ^^

looks like everyone here forgot a version of this song is on the Shrek soundtrack (and i SWEAR it's Springsteen), and that's where I remember it from. to me, this song will be associated with both heartbreak and a love rewon.
to the Pro Cellist: I suggest you start hunting up more of the lovely music floating around here. we can do more than just draw, ya know!

This is one of the few times in my life I can say I liked a cover better than the original. This song is breathtaking, despite the instrumentals and vocals being so simple (not bad simple, I mean that they aren't enhanced at all, they hold their own ground wonderfully without special effects). It has a very bare, beautiful feeling. Thank you for making this. :)
Today, my sister was all "I want to listen to that Hallelujah song - who sings it?" and I was all "Screw the original, listen to this!" and now my entire family is listening to your music. Isn't that awesome?!
Also, *fangirls* THIS IS AWESOME. I KNOW IT WAS UPLOADED AGES AGO, BUT I LISTEN TO IT CONSTANTLY. SO. MUCH. LOVE.

Finally got around to listening to this and you two really impressed me together.
If there's anything that I can critique, it would be that it sounded like
was leaking some air while singing the first two lines. That was fixed by the first chorus, so it didn't stick around very long. Even with that minor quibble, you nailed the piece.
I look forward to hearing more from both of you!

This reminds me on Dragon Hearts ending. Makes me all mushy damn!
eh xD okay, the sounds are like deep tissue massage for my soul, every tiny segment or big tone as endurantly as softly "perceveires" deep inside; how every segment escalates ohh so smoothly towards a little climax one can easily see coming, is that romantic? xD Well done, because its a clean setup.
And now some hardcore to get back into working mood!

I have LONG been a fan of this song. I love almost every version of it I hear. But this...This is otherworldly. It's so pure and beautiful... All the instruments were perfect, the voice was exquisite, everything just...clicked. A lot of talent went into this piece, and I thank you for it. <3
This does Jeff Buckley proud.
This song has a very very special place in my heart. It actually came on by random in the background when I proposed, which is some pretty freaky coincidence.
And I'll be damned if this isn't as good as the original, if not even better. I can't imagine higher praise then that.

My favorite version of this song is and always be Alter Bridge's cover. (They're my fave band so I'm biased... sorry. >_< )
However, that being said, I think this rendition is easily up there as being one of my favorite covers of this song. Beautiful instrumentals and the vocalist has a stunning singing voice. It really sent a chill down my spine.
Thanks for sharing!

OH. MY. GOD.
Okay, I'll just start with this: I am so VERY glad that somebody linked this on the newest page of Rukis' comic.
Second, I have ALWAYS been a fan of this song. ALWAYS. But this is the absolute best version of this song that i have ever heard. Colson's voice is just, well, I have no words for it. I love singing, but I suck at singing, I don't have a voice for it. Honestly, if there was any voice in the world that I would love to have, it is Colson's. It's just . . . oh wow. I wish I could sing at all, let alone that good. Seriously, wow.
Your instrumental composition was amazing as well. It fit the feel of the song, as well as Colson's voice, perfectly.
I'm SOOOOO going to have to play this for my grandmother in the morning. She loves this song as well, and I think she will really enjoy this version.
