Now here's another character that my FA has not seen, and with the completion of this extraordinary piece done by
call, I see no better opportunity to introduce this elusive creature to all of you. This unique Orca goes aptly by the name of Ocean. She's by no means a new character.
Her discovery brings us back about a decade. While sailing with a friend off the coast one day, we came across a pod of Orca. The wind had slowed down, so we just watched as they played, slapping their tails and jumping out of the water. The faint sounds of rippling right next to us caught our attention, though just as we turned our heads in the direction, all but a glimpse of something had just submerged. Moments after the boat started tipping over, as if something had begun weighing it down on the opposite side. Frantically I leaped in an attempt to balance it out. Tensions and suspense rose as we both tried to figure out what was going on. An Orca couldn't have been behind it. Things were much too subtle.
As we stared at each other in bewilderment, suddenly from the corner of our eyes, something watched us with a giggle. Slowly we turned heads to find this baby Orca looking at us curiously. At least we thought it was a baby given how significantly smaller it was compared to an adult. As soon as its pink-shadowed blue eyes hinted me of something else, it raised both its arms out of the water, and playfully flicked and splashed at us. All tension had dissipated whilst we chuckled and frolicked. She stuck around till sunset before bidding us farewell. It was truly one of the most surreal and mesmerizing moments in our lives.
Naming her Ocean was an easy decision. The mysterious and endless waters were her home, after all. Though we haven't seen her since, we know she's out there somewhere.
