SOO Line 4102 burbles over Turners Crossroad in Golden Valley, MN toward the former MN&S Glenwood Jct Yard summer of 1991. This is high summer where the heat, humidity and long days make everything a vivid green. Looking at the sky (And how the wind is catching the weeping willow tree) I'd wager there was more rain on the way as well.
This locomotive would be destroyed in a derailment in Saint Paul over 4 years later.

Originally shot on Kodak Gold 400ASA with a non-descript Kodak 'point and shoot'. Then re-shot RAW at 100ASA. Colour curves were used in Photoshop to correct negative orange cast and then inverted. Then brought into Aperture for further tweaks.
