At 60, 204 words, this is singlehandedly the longest thing I've ever written.
For those who don't know, this is the project I've been working on and off for the last couple months. I wasn't happy with the way the original story went, so I decided to revamp it, make it longer...and eventually take it in a new direction. This was the end result: Part 1 of what will likely become a full length novel.
If you want a short synopsis before diving into this beast of a read, here you go:
A man named Andreas finds himself the victim of a summoning gone wrong. Thinking quickly, he kills the gorgon that pulled him down into the umbral plain and takes her body, turning into a female gorgon. This story is his journey - now know as Srida - and her attempts to make it back into the overworld.

If s/he dies, he loses the ability to steal any more bodies and change back into a human, s/he loses the ability to cast "normal" magic (which we haven't really seen him/her do) and loses the ability to burn souls to become supercharged (which we also haven't really seen much of). S/he CAN still switch between any of her demonic forms however (succubus, gorgon).
