Name: Pikachu
Classification: Mouse
Type: Electric
Number: 025
Evolutie: Pichu --> Pikachu (Happiness) --> Raichu (thunderstone)
Length: 40 cm (including staart)
Weight: 60 grams
Habitat: deciduous forests and fields
Description: Pikachu have soft, smooth fur that generates a lot of static electricity. The tail is almost as long as the body and the entire pokémon measures approx. 40 cm. Males are slightly larger than females. They have four toes on each foot, with small, sharp claws. The feet are also covered in fur. They reach maturity after 3 months and generally have two nests a year, one in March/April and one in October/November. The number of young is usually between 2 and 7 with an average of 4. Females who are ready to have another nest groom the plume on the end of their tail in two sections to advertise their availability. They are extensively hunted by many predatory land-dwelling pokémon, but because of their electric abilities, are safe from birds. They mostly eat berries, though they can digest a wide range of plant and animal material, enabling them to survive in many places and through harsh conditions. When there is a plentiful supply of berries, they store them in their nest or in hollows in trees. They can roast berries and other food that they cannot digest raw by sending electric currents through it. Often young Pikachu have trouble judging the strength of the shock they should give their food, resulting in charred or exploding berries. They live in extended family groups of up to 30 Pichu and Pikachu, although there are no alpha’s or any form of rank. Their tails are very sensitive to air currents and they hold them up to check its surroundings. Janking its tail is a sure way to get either bitten or shocked. They generally keep their tail in a zig-zag form, though they are capable of moving their tails normally. As far as anyone can tell, this is just the most comfortable stance for them. They’re terrible swimmers. Scientists, rather cruelly, have run currents through them to see how well they stand up to electric shocks. The answer is: really well. They can be hit by lightning without any danger of dying.
Pikachu make excellent pets and are very popular, especially amongst children, both for their cute appearance and inquisitive, playful nature. Nearly every elementary school teacher has had to deal with children in tears over the death of their Pikachu, because unless they come in contact with a thunderstone and evolve, the pokémon only live two or three years.
There's an older version of Pikachu in scraps, if anyone's interested.
Pokémon is owned by Nintendo and lots of people that aren't me.

I am instantly reminded of my raichu... http://roy-fan-33.deviantart.com/ar.....ichu-144232319 So cute. <3
Very early in the series, Ash had his pikachu square off against a raichu (electric RAT) and Pikachu lost. When he obtained a thunderstone and made to evolve pikachu, BUT Pikachu just batted the stone away and told Ash that he wished to defeat the raichu as a pikachu, for the honor of pikachus everywhere.
