The brightly colored butterfly flutters along, twirling its way up, over, and around the underbrush with agility beyond even the finest draconic flyer. It seems almost like it's trying to doge the rain, and soon it settles down on a large leaf to fan out its wings and rest. Is it aware of the dragoness that has been idly following? Does it see her and feel the same curiosity for her as she does for it?
Perhaps the two have crossed paths before. They may even be old friends.
I gave
a lot of freedom in making this piece and I was incredibly happy with the final version. It's no secret that I have a love for rain, and her Disney-esque style is just too adorable to not fall in love with! Interestingly, the rain was a feature that she decided to add purely on her own accord, which made me ever more excited when I saw it.
