Krista let out a sigh of relief as she looked around to find the place empty. She didn't know how long it would last, but a few moments of solitude and tranquility were just what she needed. She dropped her bag by the door, kicked her shoes off, and stepped over to the sofa, flopping onto it dramatically. A moment later, her headphones were on, a cacophony of piano, drums, saxophone, and other instruments lifting her cares away. Jazz had been her favourite music ever since discovering her grandfather's old records as a child. Now fully grown, she still sought it as her refuge and comfort zone - something familiar and soothing she would always have with her.
