LOOK, MOMMY, NO HANDS!
I'm still trying to figure out how I skipped yesterday without noticing.
Yes, this is made out of vectors (not including the background). There's a garden-variety raster hidden under them -- my first attempt was going to be vector from scratch, but it turns out I don't have the patience for that shit.
But hey, at least there are NO OUTLINES TO BE FOUND other than the lines around the eyes and beak because reference pictures have them. Do I win the prize?
(Btw, who wants to see me do a series on birds in videyuh games? I've been toying with the idea ever since Canary Mary. Also, I'd get to draw STORM EAGLE. 8D)

I I I wasn't like that, actually. I mean, I do fondly recall a dream from when I was between 8 and 13 about being transformed into a blue yoshi in order to climb a tree as a class demonstration on some sort of field trip and spending quality time with the handsome boy blue yoshi at the top of said tree, and sure I wanted to be a pokemon and shit but who doesn't.
But then I discovered this dragon forum when I was 12, and became otherkin (ha ha ha!) until the age of 14 or so, and that's what did it. The sad part is I still check back there sometimes, and the same few dudes who were college-age when I was around (and whom I had braincrushes on, of course) are still there. I think the webmaster's in her mid thirties by now.
Eh, there's more, I guess. I've still got some VHS'd episodes of Aladdin somwehere (the Disney channel spin-off series, like pretty much every movie had), and there's one where Jasmine turns into a rat for the whole episode, and goddamn did I want to be that rat. When I was supposed to make a wish, like on birthdays and stuff, I'd always wish for wings as a little kid. Shit like that. And otherkin communities are like this wondrous collective game of let's pretend -- and even though you'd have to be idealistic to the point of stupidity (or just plain stupid) to believe it deep down, all that circle-jerk validation of yes, we're all dragons together.. that was nice.

Wow. Quality time, eh?
Yeah, I would pretend I was all sorts of stuff growing up. But my brother and I would mix everything with our love for Power Rangers, so everything was violent.
I didn't have the internet in my household until I was 14, So I didn't get into this whole scene until I was about 16. But I did have my bro, so we made do with being nerds all by our lonesome.
Your story's way more interesting, I'd say.
