Continuation from Part 1
In a desperate bid to ease the discomfort in his feet, Des began to wiggle his toes around in his stifling boots, watching the tortured boot toes to wiggle along. He could feel his sharp claws brush against the fabric of his boots, feeling them scratch along the worn stitching...if only they'll just..come apart, then maybe his feet wouldn't be in so much pain.
Des stared at his beat up work boots. Those brown work boots have served him well thru the years, protective his paws from the elements but they were getting real old. "Maybe i could..yea..why not hehe..." Des says as an idea comes to his mind. He reaches down to his right boot, planted firmly on the floor by his feet. Using his sharp claws, Des grabbed the tips of the boot's toe, firmly grasping the leather. Without any hesitation, Des began to pull, watching and his weaken worn out boots stretch before the first signs of failure starts when a crack in the leather forms at the very tip of the boot with a loud "Chrrk!"
With the leather splitting, the rest of the boot simply fell apart, leather tearing and splitting and stitching ripping and popping free from the soles as Des yanks the toe cap of his boots up, fully exposing his musky, sweaty toes. It was sweet relief as the cool outside air began to soothe his toes.
Eager to free his other toes, Des turned his attention to his other boot and with his all his might, he pulled. Soon his other boot was like the exact copy of the other pair, with its sole hanging open floppily as the left over sweat on the crushed insole runs down it and drips on the floor, no that Des cares about it for the dragon is simply enjoying the relief from those leathery prisons.
And apart from the musk, he is still good to go for the meeting, maybe he'll have to deal with some floppy soles but he can deal with it, and once he gets back home, he'll repair them and make em as good as new a win-win situation i'll say, and Desmond certainly thinks so too as a smile now lights up on the dragons face.
