OLDER ART REPOST
A while back I tweaked and touched this piece up a little bit, but forgot to share and update the old post. So here it is! I warmed up some of the colors and added the textured backdrop to this.

This was a piece I made a little while ago for puppypower123 on dA. Pup has always been very sweet to me, she has generously drawn me art multiple times, so I wanted to make her something big as a huge thank you for the drawings she has made for me and any future ones that may ever come my way, too! I put a good deal of time into this but I think it was certainly worth it as I made something for someone who had always been very kind to me, and I also made progress and breakthrough in artistic approach to my painted shading.

I got to experiment with my painterly shading style when I did this since I had been feeling unsatisfied with my technique; I pinned down some new approaches to putting down layers and shading.
