Backlog upload: First uploaded to Tumblr - July 2018

I had to hold this one back until the official airing of the episode last year, but a friend of mine spoiled me hard on the flagship Kirin from a convention early showing, and she was so precious I had to draw her in my style!
Her colors aren't show-accurate for this reason; the only refs I had to work with were screenshots from a projector and it tinted everything blue-white.

But it was the BIGGEST relief, as a kirin aficionado in the MLP fandom since I joined it, to see canon Kirin who are both simplistically but faithfully taken from source myth, and not described as "dragon ponies", unlike many in the fandom like to call them. I have butted heads with quite a few fans on this matter and I suspect I will continue to see people contradicting me. *shrug*
