I love the real things too, I've riden on many trips steam, diesel electric, even got to run freight and Amtrak a while back, boy that was a thrill. Did an excellent job of running too.

Oh it's not just a set, it's an empire!! HEH HEH :) I have 385 freight cars, 55 passenger cars & 79 locos. Just got done building a fourth engine house due to running out of room in the other 3, need more engines!! HEH :> It's a wonder ful hobby, been doing for yrs.Also have an 1.5 scale train I ride on to different RR clubs, you can check that out too as well as my SP wagon I carry it in. Yeah, I'm a little obsessed I think!

Damn is right, by the way, the scale is 'O' and 'O27' Lionel size, like this scale cause it sounds and feels like the real trains do when running.
