Guntram comes from a world of magic and one day during his training he managed to teleport himself to a world of technology. It was a curiosity for him, having never seen such things. So, he decided to shrink one of that world’s cities down and collect it as a sample for further studies later.
They did try to stop him, but their tech seemed to be no match for his magic and he barely noticed their attempts. Hopefully, he will be satisfied with the one sample.

I wonder what Guntram will do with this rehearsal, he will surely be able to do interesting study with it, but he'll quickly realize how fragile a city can be
He'll take them back to his world to investigate at his leisure for now. What happens when he is done is still up in the air.

I've always been fascinated by city-shrinking scenarios. Planets and countries feel too much but a city community at the mercy of one person is an appealing idea.
