Zepher Blackbird, the Changeling Hybrid.

in the last panel you learned about his fathers side of the family. Now learn about his mother. His mother is old. She is the ruler of her Changeling Hive but she is not a Queen, no. She is something... More. Something... Older. Stronger. Ancient. She is older then any known being, at least in a official capacity. Older then the Two Sisters. Older then Discord, Tirek and even Starswirl the Bearded. All Changeling's know of her by name. All Queens respect her for having ruled for so long. Her name... Is Arachne. Empress. Last of the First Born.

Arachne is a Empress Changeling, the next step above a Queen. How she became such is unknown and she refuses to tell anybeing how she molted into one. Arachne was one, of six, of the very first Changeling Queens ever hatched. Born from the Mother of All Changelings herself, and last one still alive. What happened to the other 5 is unknown to all, even her. Some Changelings believe that Arachne isn't a Empress but a myth to scare Nymphs. For how can a being such as her exist? One who's power rivals that of any Alicorn? One who's lived for over three thousand years?

Arachne has 3 children. That is to say, three that are born as Royal Changelings for all of her subjects are her children to her. The oldest is a daughter, a Queen named Aurelia, who rules her own Hive. Zepher is the middle child while the youngest, named Andromeda, is also a Queen, but is only around the same age as the CMC, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and is considered more a princess then a full fledged Queen currently. But despite her long life and vast wisdom, she has never before encountered a "enigma" such as her son Zepher. A Hybrid that has the power's and abilities of a Queen. But he is male. She lets him roam free and travel as he wishes, but keeps a close, and careful eye on him.

Zepher has a pet Red-tailed Hawk named Talon, who likes poetry.
