With it being a while since releasing any actual updates beyond "I moved" and "It's been hell", and now that the camera/camcorder has arrived, I can resume where I left off. I had relied on my phones for a while to snap pics, yet one broke, and the other refuses to be compatible with my PC beyond charging. I'll likely be experimenting and testing the new camera's settings for a while, and figured to begin with one of the more recent additions to the collective; this color morphed corn snake.
So let's get down to the actualities of what has been going on...
A dream of mine for quite some time is to be involved with animal care and education, and since taking in the three bearded dragons, the passion to attempt my luck at offering services as a reptile rescue has elevated considerably. The corn snake one sees here is the first official rescue since the dragons, as his/her previous owner did not wish to care for this snake any longer, as I was informed he/she is a savagely aggressive little bugger for a corn snake. While I've yet to get bit, I can see how this snake in particular could be intimidating, as this particular snake wastes very little time in pursuing and thoroughly checking out anything that interacts with him or the enclosure, absolutely closing in with the intent of food. High chance of a video being released in the near future of this gorgeous serpent.
On the note of video as well, the camera I recently acquired is also capable of video records, and while I am sure the quality could be a ton better, it should still suffice to give visual updates and vlogs, should that time come, and if folks may be interested in watching material produced by a gemstone vendor/jeweler, as well as an amateur herpetologist.
Since opening up this small time critter rescue, I've gotten a number of interesting and exciting requests. While this corn snake is the first, it most certainly not shall be the last, as there is a rather ~big~ surprise on the way, potentially three of them. To prepare for these very special animals, I will be needing to build a large custom enclosure for each of them, as well as ensure I am fit enough to handle as much snake as I am anticipating to come into my care in the near future. While two of those large snakes are somewhat common in the hobby, the third is something extremely special, and has been a personal dream animal of mine for years.
All in all, with moving, caring for the critters already in my care, keeping myself pressed and motivated to stay up to date on here, and finding the time to resume posting new gems.... Life has been hectically busy, but in a way, it's been pretty good recently. The only struggle I am facing now is to ensure I have enough funds in the bank to sit on as emergency padding, as well as to be able to afford a better diet. ..I've been eating far too much cheap pizza lately.
To ensure that money will (hopefully) not be a severe issue again any time in the near future, I still am accepting offers or willing to negotiate a deal on gemstone orders and hunts. Very few prices listed are firm, so if there happens to be something that extremely catches one's eye, do not hesitate to shoot me a note to haggle on such a stone.
Again, sorry for keeping the most of you in the dark for a while with what's been going on. I've been needing to kick myself in the ass consistently to keep chugging along in the right direction, and I believe I've finally found my groove once again.
Better still... Where I recently moved to may indeed be a place where I can officially begin silver and goldsmithing once more.... And... wait for it....
….Gem cutting may be on that list of options as well in the very near future. <3
Stay tuned for more gems, critters, and spicy updates~

ooh! pretty little noodle! I have recently been watching a youtube channel called Snake Discovery. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn.....FV50Eai8Xj-ArA she is very informative and has some good helpful tips on a lot of things. (a couple tricks i've used on our own ball pythons that have helped immensely!)
Also I am excited to see your smithing! I only had a brief couple weeks in highschool to try anything myself (woo lost wax casting that turned out shit cause no one would give me the fine grit sandpaper)
Good luck on everything!

It's a Danger Noodle! Or a Nope-on-a-Rope! I have my own Nope-Rope, her name is Basalt Greyfang. She enjoys being held and rubbed and watching a nice movie together. I'll even massage her head. She's kinda tiny but she likes chin rubs if you can do it gently.
She also makes a bee line for my pet cat. I'm sure Basalt wants to hide under Fiora's tummy sensing how warm it is. It is so funny watching this snake slow slink across the carpet (dun dun dun dun dun!) to the cat and the cat arrrrcccching her back up in a slow standing and walk off saying, "that's a nope!"
Somehow I have a bunny, a cat, and a snake all as friends that don't want to eat the others.
