Yesterday was the great protest day against 13 (now Article 17) of the EU copyright reform which has the potential to ruin the internet as we know it. I was at the Frankfurt protest with over 10,000 others.

Why did they change it from Article 13 to Article 17?
Were there just too many amendments to keep trak of, so they withdrew 13 and redrafted it as 17?
Or are they changing the number to try and "hide" from the protesters? Aka "They're so busy protesting against Article 13, they won't notice when we ram Article 17 through the legislative process."

At least you don't have anyone like Ajiit Pai, who had an "open comment" period about Net Neutrality, hired a botnet to send identical anti-net-neutrality posts in a near DDoS attack to try and "crowd out" the real people, who were overwhelmingly in SUPPORT of Net Neutrality, then shut down the servers while claiming that they had "crashed" from the response.
*sigh*
Sorry for the rant, I still miss having a legitimate government.
