Glacier-Bucks have very soft coats of dark fur that fetch high prices on any market, but there is a catch to it:
Each hair is hollow and connected to a poison gland. If a buck feels threatened his hair stiffens and turns into poison needles with a greenish tint to it that warns would-be predators.
While a black pelt is very valuable, the greenish one is worthless, so the usual method is a sneak attack and a very well placed arrow that kills it with one hit, before its defense kicks in.
