Another drawing for my friend Emily (who still hasn't named her character!). As I've said before, she really likes Owl City. As you may have guessed, this one is based on 'Fireflies.'
I can't believe how late I stayed up last night working on this. But I think it was worth it ... I'm quite happy with how it came out. I can't wait to show her.

Are those federation emblems (or what not, from Star Trek, or have I been watching too many sixties TV shows) on their collars?
I love that song! and, what a great drawing, love the grass and the stars, (moon looks a little off though, a bit on the translucent side, I'll have to get used to it).

Yes, they're Starfleet delta shields and rank pips. My friend and I are huge Trekkies.
I didn't want the moon to be too much of a distraction from the rest of the piece, so I made it semi-transparent.
I also know relatively few artists who do five fingers, but I'm not the only one.
