So like, this reminds me.
In the original English dub of the Ghost in the Shell anime movie (the first one), around the beginning scenes of it, Batou (the dude with the cyber eyes) and Motoko were talking to one another in their usual wireless manner.
Batou mentioned there being static in the background when hearing back from Motoko.
In the DUB, she complained of it being as a 'loose wire.'
...the original Japanese, she flat out states it was because she's on her period.
Brings the above image to a WHOLE NEW CONTEXT!
