I was thinking what kind of Pokemon design I could make based on my fursona, and felt like a rodent that evolves into a mustelid while becoming more aggressive and traditionally masculine would be a good fit, then started thinking over the knightly theme.

Around the time the idea really came together in my head, the Sword and Shield trailer hit YouTube. I then procrastinated for a few weeks before drawing out my design.


When placed in the daycare with any female that's valid for breeding, Esquirrel will trade hold items with her. So long as he doesn't wind up holding onto an Everstone, he will evolve as soon as either one of them taken out. If he is holding an Everstone, he won't breed at all until it's removed; no point in becoming a father if you aren't going to man up in order to protect your mate and offspring, after all.

Low-level moveset would include such attacks as the ghost-type Lick, electric-type Nuzzle, bug-type String Shot, and normal-type Pound.
