No way i'm writing this whole description back up, but yeah... this thing was a beast. Now at least, I can get back onto other things...and think up a good image for Thanksgiving...possibly...never...

I had to redo this whole description, so now it's going to be short. Firefox decided to bug out...gotta love it when that happens. IN any event...
This particular scene is from AHM spliced up with, ohtehnoes, TFA. And c'mon...i'm a huge heckler for that damn Nerdbot...friggin' Perceptor. ARGH!
Ever since I saw some other images floating around on DA from the first one, I had this idea come to mind, considering it is one of my favorite scenes in the book. For those who haven't read or seen it, here is the original ref page, missing Drift at the top though... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....efpagePERC.jpg
You get the general idea.
This image was done completely digital (because i'm a big loser like that, pencils scare me nowdays) and the actual .psd file has so many layers it makes me puke.
I tried to make it look as close as I could to to the original image, but of course because of the size changes in panels and such to fit everything everywhere...but oh well. I'm still working on backgrounds and ESPECIALLY weapons...there are a few places on the gun start make me twitch but eh, the colors seem to hide that fact from me. Links to the sketch and linework, just because I can:

Linework- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....HMTFAcopy2.jpg
And now, shout-outs to the texture and brush sets used! Because I love me some background and brush textures. Especially the grungy stuff!
The starry night BG is stock from
ro-stock . Here: http://ro-stock.deviantart.com/art/.....ure-1-55506475
The brushes used on the buildings, gun, and of course, the robits themselves is brush sets created by
anodyne-stock ( http://anodyne-stock.deviantart.com.....sh-Set-4992490 ) and
redheadstock ( http://redheadstock.deviantart.com/.....ushes-10229563 ) .
Mad props to them for making such lovely textures.
Now, back to...trying to finish things. Hurhurhur...FFFFFFFFfffffffffffffff...
Yup...really should read AHM. That book is HEART.

OH GOD...that part was SO BRILLIANT. MWHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I love the beginning too with the Constructicons...
"Human creatures of Earth, we come in peace. We come to you to preach the message of unity, co-operation, and goodwill between our races...ours is a message of kindness."
"HAHAHAHA!"
KABOOM!!
YESPLZ.

Perceptor, if you go back to his orignal techspecs, actually was part sniper. The scope working as a large cannon as well. But those were mostly things that got forgotten by the writers. While I'm not fond of the idea of lobotomizing Percy to get the result, its nice to bring back that aspect thats never been explored.
Also, the TFA Version being much more of a 'nerd' in how he looks (where as G1 Percy looking more or less like everyone else) really enhances the feel of Track's shock. You have this skinny '98-pound weakling' with the voice of stephen hawkins, able to snipe people at long range; yeah that gets scary as he's not a 'nerd' you'd want to mess with.

I'm a girl and i was more into girly comics at that point. Own only the first 6 comic of Transformers, and saw only 3 episodes, since we dind't had the show running here in Hungary. I saw those episodes, thanks to my grandparrents, who lived in Sweden, and recorded full videocasettes of cartoon mix, to give me as a present, when they visited. They had cable, we not...so i was watching all that they recorded. Seen nearly every show from '85-'90, and after that we invested to a satelite reciver, and finnaly i could choose out the shows i wanted to see.
It was the golden age of Cartoon Network for me. I was there when show's like Dexter's lab. were born...and stuff. Ahh, nostalgia. As transformers goes, i saw a few episodes - thanks to internet once again - but i'm way over that age, to enjoy it fully. Still those few moments as a child will always be an un-forgetable memory from the Robots in disguise.
Nerdy time - Among the few episodes i saw as a child, there was one, when the Decepticons were discovering a weapon called "Lightning Bug" (I think it's the coolest ligthning weapon ever existed in human history.) and also recived a "Cosmic Rust" virus. In that ep poor Preceptor was caught by the Deceptiocons, and tied to a tnt kinda bomb which he lighted by his own microscope...after he cured the C.R. and gotten himself the virus. Truly detailed episode, my respects for the writters. Satisfaction pure.

The TFA Atlas? Yes indeed. All though it didn't have some of the characters, like Perceptor and Tracks. I had to find the ref sheets online for them. Though i've had the Perceptor ones for a while now, hehe. I'm hoping the release a second book with more of the art, but eh, I have a feeling that it's doubtful. BUT CAN CROSS FINGERS AND HOPE!
And thank you very much! Since i've done this, i've considered maybe doing a couple others but eh, I guess time will tell on that front. Hehe.
