This is the most likely outcome, looking at  dutch's track record. Misty's female peers seem to never suffer any consequences worse than some mild embarrassment. If they'd actually put her in any genuine danger, it would damage their audience appeal. The only character who's ever done that is Lyle, in that arc where he got Misty arrested over a careless mix up. That was acceptable (to the audience) via the sit com trope of the Doofus Male Friend, whose reckless antics and tendency to cause others trouble via their shenanigans are seen as part of their bumbling charm. This was prior to the loss of Jules, which saw him start to generally get his act together...ish.
