Rasco's maw-pouch is handy for many things, as been stated before. Shown here is how its used most of the time. To get some unsuspecting prey to lean in (in this case, Hara) and get too curious, then push them down and seal them in. After that, they're safely contained, within that warm, wet, humid space underneath the maw. Then, Rasco can carry him around as he plods on with his day, doing usual things, then when he feels like it, he just folds his tounge back and push the maw-pouch contents down into his throat, gulping them up into his belly~
Hara is very worried by Rasco, given raccoons do not posses pouches on their maws. While Rasco is a safe pred, this is usually how most encounters with him go the first time. Later encounters are usually more relaxed, as both pred and prey are more aware of the fact that they're in no danger~
