Au Ra scales are so hard to paint. Like, so so hard. SoooOOOO hard. I almost gave up on this about 10 different times. I also scrapped the shading a few times and started over... But I'd say it was worth it to try and finish it.
I used a lot of boudoir photography to inspire myself for this, and I love it so much. I really would love to do more of this type of soft pinup artwork. So expect more of it soon-ish.
