I wondered about that-this comic is actually the final chapter of a story arc I've been working on, so I debated whether or not my comics should be in story. I asked about it in my journal, and debated it with other FA users.

the oddest part is the mystery. For some reason I want to know what Cat said. Do you actually know? I mean when you made it, did you actually figure out her response and censor it, or did you just make the box and let our imaginations go at it?

Not even I know-imagination can come up with worse than whatever I would've put up there.

I've always kept high standards about language. I said F--- as a little kid only once because I was tricked into saying it by some punk teenagers, not knowing it was wrong to say. I got into just a little trouble for it, my mom gave me one of those gentle but firm private talks about not saying it, and I never have said it since. I've picked up a few of the minor swears, words that appear in the Bible, but I never say F--- or S---, those words are hitting below my standards. Elsewhere, I keep conscious of my tongue when I'm in the presence of children, and once I reprimanded a pair of teens for using language when there was a kid in hearing range. Interestingly enough, I was backed up by the store manager when the two teens tried to start trouble with me, despite my being older and bigger than them. Here, it's funny how we have some obvious idea of what Ronnie said to Cat, but no clue what Cat said to Ronnie, which makes the scene all the more hilarious. Gotta love Dawn's maternal attitude in handling the situation.
