No it was just training, but the shield is destroyed, there's many power behind a blow of an axe from a mounted warrior. We lost some shields, also with the lance and speer, it was a good experiment to understand the force of this military unit

He's a dutch fjord horse, or what do you mean with breed?

Oh, I imagined that just right after asked you. For the color mostly. And yes,that's what I mean by breed =) Those colors has a lot to do with ancient horses (or wild horses). In my country that color is also common, but a bit darker.

Argentina, we have lots of criollo horses (strong animals, like your horse ^^) for cattle work. Some Quarter Horses, a lot of polo horses and some breeded for show jumping. I prefer the most rustic ones =) (or a croos with high percentage of the native horse).

Für Ruhm und Ehre. Mag ganz nett sein, aber wenn´s dazu noch´n Stück Land und etwas Gold gibt bin ich dabei.

Naja wobei es im historischen Kontext garnicht so falsch ist. Da ich das Grab 17 von Sutton Hoo darstelle bin ich entweder Raedwald's Sohn der in der Schlacht gegen Aethelfrith fiehl, oder einer seiner engsten Krieger. Somit stellt sich die Frage nach Land und Gold garnicht, weil diese Darstellung dies schon beinhaltet. Ausserdem kam es zum Krieg gegen Aethelfrith weil Readwald dem Prinzen Edwin Asyl gewährt hatte. Somit geht es wirklich nur um Ruhm und Ehre.
