Oh snap, D. Dan is actually flirting! LOL.
In the universe where D. Dan lives there is a fine mix between fantasy with more advanced technology than our universe, but with a similar modern culture. D. Dan, being a knight, follows the rules of chivalry, has highly advanced magical equipment and has an occasional tendency to speak slang. (He listens to a variety of music).
The girl shown is another college student from the Magi Quarter (where they learn to be Wizards, Clerics, Sorcerers, Alchemists, etc...) and, like D. Dan, was taking a casual stroll along the campus promenade.
Is D. Dan in love? Who is to say. It is college after all. LOL. ^\/^.
To make a note, D. Dan could very well just be greeting her. After all, he is a knight under the rules of chivalry. LOL. ^\/^.

I find it fascinating that we can have all of these characters running around inside of our heads and that they exist in so many different worlds.
What I love about your eagle character is the whole "medieval knight" and chivalry concept. I think it's very fitting for a bald eagle! And you play the part well in many of your drawings!
When I think of "Lanakila", I think of him in a couple of different states:
1) Non-morphic eagle. He may live in the natural world & environment (absent of modern times) or he may live in the present.
2) Morphic eagle. I usually think of Lanakila as a morphic eagle in times when I want to be closer to "myself" in real life. It's just easier to describe Lanakila as a morphic eagle interacting with other "furries" of today's modern world.
*grin* But I love the whole knight concept! It's really cool for your character!

Thank you very much. I find your ideas equally fascinating. In D. Dan's universe there are many knights and kingdoms with medieval influences, but the time period is the same as ours with similar cultures and with technology that surpasses ours by centuries. ^^.
To make a note as to where D. Dan is in this picture. He is at the Royal University where he is majoring in Knighthood with a minor in Information Systems. He lives in the kingdom of Georgia at the royal capital of Augusta. The kingdom of Georgia resides in The United Kingdoms of Vineland that contains a large number of kingdoms. The ruler of the kingdom of Georgia is Queen Augusta IV whose ancestor Queen Augusta I was given the kingdom by her father King George II of England, a kingdom of the Avalon Federation.
Among other things, I have it that old kingdoms and countries that have long died in our history are still around in this universe. Imagine that the Sumerians are still around, and Egyptians and so on. And since magic is real, and goes along with the hyper technology, it makes perfect sense that D. Dan's sword is a magic sword while looking like a light saber at times. LOL. ^\/^.
