In honor of "Pancake Day" (March 12, 2019), I thought I'd post a digital picture of an appropriate character from Disney's latest CGI animated feature film, "Ralph Breaks The Internet"; namely 'Fun Bun', the rabbit from a handheld video game for kids.
'Fun Bun' was originally seen in a trailer for the film - in which 'Ralph' and 'Vanellope' end up in said video game, where they had to feed pancakes to the bunny, and milkshakes to a kitty. Finding a huge supply of pancakes, 'Ralph' ends up overfeeding him. Although it had almost nothing to do with the plot, the scene was finally used in the midst of the film's closing credits.
Among the ancillary merchandising connected to "RBTI" were several versions of 'Fun Bun' - including a few variations of the fat rabbit, following his pancake repast. One such variation was acquired by yours truly at a Game Stop store at Sawgrass Mills (Outlet Mall) in Sunrise, Florida. It was part of a series called "Mystery Minis", which contains several vinyl figurines of characters from the flick inside its package. It's from Funko(TM), the same company behind POP Figures(R) - of which I also have the fat version of 'Fun Bun', but refuse to open the box it's found in (for fear of devaluing the enclosed figure).
Of course, this wasn't the first time I was involved with "Mystery Minis". I was also able to collect the entire series of "Zootopia" "MM" figurines... which comes as no surprise, as that CGI film was co-directed by Rich Moore (the same co-director of the "Wreck-It Ralph" sequel). One day, I hope to post a "photo-op" of the complete collection. But until then, I hope you were able to enjoy your "Pancake Day" - as much as the bountiful bunny did!
P.S. "Ralph Breaks The Internet" is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital formats for home entertainment playing!
