(The text is a bit NFSW, so please be warned.)
For a bit of a recap: Luna was the daughter of a Pegasus and the decendant of the modern bat pony. She was considered an abomination by the other Pegasi and was kicked out of the clouds by her mother before she was stoned to death. She then lived with her father until he was killed as well.

Things to note:
-Luna's actually taller than Celestia in this AU
-Her dad's species were called Vampire Bats. They are currently extinct and live on through Bat Ponies.
-She looks more like her dad when she turns into Nightmare Moon for the first time.
-Her body shape before she was transformed into an alicorn was a bit more elongated. She was the same height as Celestia was then, but looked like she was crawling around instead of walking.
-While she still is loving, she's a lot more impatient and agressive as a leader. She feels she needs to be this way.
-Luna's appearance changes with celestial events. She turns red during blood moons, white and black during Eclipses, ect.
