It was Dozer. Oddly it happened after I drew this sequence.
I had been wanting to do this time-bending crossover with Sleepy John for several years. He set it up in his strip, where Kaheda remembers that the Duchess when she was a baby was named Katre--and then she realizes that Kathy is Katre. It disturbs her deeply to try to understand how Kathy could be the same person that Kaheda remembers from her childhood years before, and whether she has an obligation to tell Kathy how her future is going to work out.

My brother had a Border Collie x Australian Shepherd mix who would allow squirrels to run right over his paws and touch noses with strange cats and wild bunnies. One time my brother had him out for an off-leash walk, when they encountered Jane Doe in the street. Nash had the Must herd ungulate! urge but just stared and whined softly. My brother, long familiar with herders just said, "Nash, leave it," and the dog sat quietly and watched the deer.
