With all the pieces finally put into their respective places, I can now reveal that secret project I'd been working on for the past month!
Harking back to when the three of us (
Zaruvyen,
Greenery & myself) first met in person at MFF 2016, I'd been wanting to make something truly special to commemorate the occasion.
* First, I order up some wooden panels of the photo we took to mark the event. It was a low-res photo (1024x768... I forgot to change the settings on my camera, RIP), but I tried to make it less blurry than it was. Each of us have one~
* Second, I recreated said photo into drawings of our respective furry/scaly identities. I drew, inked and colored each one separately, all by hand. This was the bulk of the project, and one I did not want to mess up (too much)!
* Thirdly, I wanted to write a personal message from the heart to go with these, addressed specifically to each of them. I wanted to get a few things off my chest, after knowing each other for so long, so I figured it was only fitting.
* And as a bonus, I included a special Pokémon card that best resonated with them; Fawks obtained a Dragonite, and Zaru a Salamence. This decision was in memory of when Zaru mailed me one of his favorite Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Hyozanryu. I still possess and care for that card to this day. <3
Tools: Paper (x3), pencil, micron pens, colored pencils.
This entire project-- years in the making-- took me a lot of time, effort, love and sheer luck to set up and pull off. Resources were thin as per usual, but I was hella determined to make this work in spite of all the hurdles... After all, these wonderful fellas mean the world to me.
In my heart, the Trinity will never die.

And I am forever grateful for the opportunity to make that happen, for myself, for you, for Fawks, when I made my first and to-this-day, only foray into Wisconsin to grab you outta your prison and show you the wild side of life. <3
You, keep doin the do. You magnificent golden boy. This is such a feel good story even on the micro scale ;; I can't believe that you went this far out of your way...
I'm always gonna be here, too. You know how to find me, my boy. You made me "OMG" in front of my family for the xth time in almost 14 years you frickin nut <3
I'm sporting the dorkiest, goofiest a-HYUCKiest smile right now from reading this, thanks a million!!
It was great having you guys around at the time, though it is sad we don't talk as much as we used to. We still keep in touch at least, and perhaps we'll meet up again in the future! It's hard to believe it's been this long. Still a trio, even if apart :P
