This was put together well, with a great attention to detail. It ends just on the right spot - leaving a wide open space for where the rest of it can go.
One thing I noticed that was very well done was how each of the characters are different, yet had their own spotlight introductions. It is often difficult to introduce when you get more than two or three personas you have to explain. Other literary works I have had did it by doing a character a chapter, however by introducing them together you handled both relationships/friendships and enough of a partial history to get a mental portrait of who they are.
This one is well on the path to having a wide and diverse character library. Keep at it. :)

Very much appreciated. With this one I tried to be more organic than my usual. I started with the core idea and let the story sort of hit the natural beats, not focusing on how many pages a scene should be or how many chapters. This one the breaks just seemed to come at natural points, the first being where this one ends right at the end of the auction. I just kind of started with the idea of Ethan doing something nice for Diana, though I changed the title to avoid giving away what it was he was doing for her.
Even though this is not their first story or their first rodeo, I always try to make sure to highlight the main players in a way that doesn't seem boring to old readers but makes it clear to first time folks who they are and how the group dynamic breaks down. I know that with Blue Moon I introduced all of them in the first or second chapters but each one had a highlight chapter where the focus was on them. Since this was a short project compared to the larger scale ideas I didn't really have the time to do it that way, and since it's a relatively small cast it made sense to introduce them all together through Ethan's POV so you see both who they are and how they relate to the group while Ethan thinks about each of them. These four have always blended really well in my head. :)
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and respond. :)
