I was actually thinking about a related incident today... I start getting into pacifiers when I was about 14, and one time I biked down to a nearby drug store to buy another pack for myself so I could see how I liked silicone teats. the folks at the register aren't really supposed to say anything about what you're buying, but this time the lady just had to ask, "aren't you a little old for these?"
I was really devastated. it took a lot of courage of me to go buy those. I felt like crying the whole way home.

I haven't bought diapers in person in a while (not counting Goodnites) but I am at the point where if I did, and someone gave me the look, or asked if they were for me, I'll just say yes. I mean, the diapers I tend to wear out and about are very thick and loud, so chances are they would notice anyway, so there isn't a point in lying :P
And really i wouldn't worry if she has the face like slapped arse. No matter what it's not her business if you wish to be a crinkle butt. But people who work in retail. Sometimes get pain in the bum customers and colleagues and sometimes they don't know how to keep a lid on it and project it on to Other customers. I've worked for in retail customer services for over 10 years its not personal and every time I buy stuff and diapers I don't really care what people think or if the cashier has a face like a slapped are as long s their professial when they deal with me.
