I had surgery on January 30th, major surgery. This has halted my output as recovery has been a little slow, but I am recovering. This has slowed my output, as I have been resting and exercising (walking around a lot). But art has been slow. When ever this happens, I try sketching Asheru. The date says March 1, but today is March 8. I intended to draw a week ago, but the blank page kind of stared back at me, and for a while all I had were some whispy lines and some other scribbles, It was only last night and this morning that I finished this enough to sketch and that I am not disgusted by it. From now it's going to be moving forwqrd, slowly and back to work on the more complex stuff. So here's Asheru walking. Enjoy Pencil on Paper R U G G E L S / 2 0 1 9

Looks as beautiful as ever, Scott :)
Your comments in the description here remind me of three things i took to heart in my early, Yerfy, years;
First, to not let fear of imperfection stop you from drawing,
Second, that sometimes overworking a sketch can result in losing the life and motion of the original drawing, so embrace some of those whispy scribbles, and
Third, you have to get all those thousands of bad drawings out of you in order to find the great ones. Surely a few questionable items must have been left at the bottom of the bag over the years, it's not a bad thing if one shakes itself loose every now and then :)
The way her foot is unfinished just feels stylistically intentional there, love it.

'Surgery? For what?' *Goes back through your journals and gallery*
Holy crap! Its good to see you still here, never mind drawing again. Please pardon my ignorance, I'm just getting caught up from being out of country and TDY when this all happened Here's hoping to a full recovery and more Asheru!
