A short story I wrote to vent some feelings that have been bottled up for about a year now relating to a long-distance relationship that is now the most stable and long-lasting relationship I've been in so far. I hope it never ends.

I start crying as I fade away from his arms, materializing in my own bed as I hug my pillow tight. I sob quietly into the soft fabric as that familiar feeling of loneliness and longing hits me hard. I wish our hugs, cuddles, kisses, and everything else was real. In person. I wish we were together. I wish I could really fall asleep in his arms. I love him. I need him.
