Bio:
Naomi Walker was born in Pasadena California to Richard and Bethany Walker. The small family lived quite well thanks to Richards job as an Astronomer. However when Naomi was 9 her father got a job as Lead Astronomer at the Mauna Kea Observatory in Hawai’i so the family moved there and settled down in Hilo. And it was here that little Naomi fell in love with Astronomy.
Ten years later Naomi was interning at the very same Observatory her father worked at. One night while working the telescope for a Astrophysicist in America, her co-worker went outside to check some of the exterior equipment, before leaving for the night. Leaving Naomi to look after the telescope. Occasionally she would glance through the eyepiece and note down anything of import.
It was while she was looking through the eyepiece again that she noticed that the moon was coming into view. While admittedly she did like the moon it was aggravating because it meant that they would likely miss anything that happened while the moon was present in the field of view.
However being fond of the moon she couldn’t help but steal another look. That was when she noticed something, something unusual. There on the surface of one of the Maria’s was something that couldn’t have been there. She focused the telescope and saw what looked like a small light shining. And not just shining it seemed to be getting brighter the longer she looked at it.
Suddenly the light was all around her, and to make matters worse she couldn’t step out of it. In the blink of an eye she found herself in the dark. Only for a moment or two as slowly but surely lights began coming to life.
Looking around she could tell she wasn’t in the Observatory anymore, or even Hawai’i. She was surrounded by ruins, subterranean ones at that. And not ones she recognised either. She could see that they were made by no Furman hands. And they were made of a material she’d never even seen before.
Suddenly a faint whisper echoed through the chamber. She couldn’t tell what it said but it was definitely a voice. She followed where the voice came from hoping it might lead her to a way to get home. Following the voice eventually lead her to a large room that, while still a ruin, was in much better condition than everywhere else she’d seen.
Her awe was interrupted when she saw what could no doubt be the source of the voice, standing at the far end of the chamber. She got a close as she dared to, reasoning that if this thing wanted to hurt her it would have done so already.
The figure explained to her that eons ago the Lunar civilization, when confronted with a cataclysm beyond their imagination, fled to parts unknown, some even to their earth colony; Atlantis, but most took to the stars to seek a new home. The figure also explained that it too was brought there much like she was and learned all this from its predecessor. But it, like its predecessor, failed to wield the power. So now it sought out one who might.
The figure held out a strange device from under its cloak and offered it to Naomi. It looked like some kind of polished stone with what looked like circuitry running over its surface. For a moment it sat still in her palm and the figure slumped slightly. That was when the stone began to glow brighter and brighter until it began to float upward before settling into position above her head.
Four streams of silver/blue energy flowed out of the stone and began to circle Naomi. At first she thought about running but the calm demeanor of the figure told her she was safe. When finally rings of energy closed in on her and in a flash the energy was gone as was the stone.
Naomi stood looking herself over. Gone was her lab coat and casual clothes and in their place was a strange suit that looked like parts of it were comprised of some kind of crystal while under that was a bodysuit with glowing curved lines all over it, not unlike what was on the stone. She was even wearing a cape with a hood. Of course it’s also didn’t escape her notice all her fur hand changed color to pure white.
She looked at the figure who bowed to her and told her the stone had worked because she, on the genetic level, shared a chromosome or two with the Lunar civilisation. The figure taught her how to summon the armor at will and all she now had at her disposal such as her powers and even an arsenal of gadgets and even what it called a Light skimmer craft. A two person ship capable of traveling to earth in mere minutes. She also learned that the Lunar civilisation was dedicated to honor and justice. Often going out of their way to protect and help others.
As the figure started to fade away it told her if she wanted to return home all she need to was hold her hand to the panel behind her and think of home and how to, if she wanted, to return to the moon. Then the figure was gone. Naomi deactivated her suit and did as the figure instructed and before she knew it she was back in the Observatory. Not long later she, in secret, applied for the BOS academy feeling she owed the lunar civilisation and wanted to honor their memory by using her gifts to fight crime and injustice.
Personality:
*Approachable: LL is very easy to talk to, always stressing that if someone needed her attention they need only come to her and ask.
*Sharp Mind: LL is quite intelligent. Some might go so far to say genius but she’d never call herself that.
*Impulsive: While she may be smart she’s still very much a teenager. The result of which is she is, from time to time, given to acting before she thinks.
*Composed: More often than not LL is composed and rational, often thinking things through before deciding on a course of action, when she is able to at least.
*Bookworm: despite being very friendly and approachable, if she gets a book in her hands that she likes it’ll be very hard for her to put it down.
