Thanks! This concept was certainly an interesting one to work with. They didn't specify, however I'm all but certain the client that commissioned this piece was inspired by Star Wars, and the Mauser was a likely inspiration for Han Solo's sidearm (DL-44 Heavy Blaster). Good eye! ;)
