The photo is mine, but not the game held by the photographer's hand .Okay, I know this is an obvious question. But who from the furry fandom hasn't played at least one game from the StarFox series?
Long before I could get the first chapter of this franchise, I wasn't interested in even trying this game, to be honest, just because StarFox had..., well..., "childish characters", so to speak ... What a fool kid I was, don't you think?! ^^U
Then, in my early teens, my father bought me for my birthday the SNES console that I was eagerly waiting for since a couple of years ago, along with a bunch of video games that included the one I wasn't interested in getting.
And, when I've played this game properly, letting me know not only about the engaging science fiction mythology built around the Lylat System, but also about how powerful could be any realistic zoomorphic character, including our beloved Fox McCloud..., StarFox literally changed my life..., for good!

Me too, until three or four photos of the original maquette/drawings for fox revealed the boots to have penetrating hinge bolts, thin bar ankles, and concave heels (even if they were hollow, not even his bones would fit those shapes). See what I mean here:

My best guess is that it's one of those concept ideas that never needed to be mentioned since it was a pilot game... until Star Fox Adventures (Which wasn't originally intended to be a Star Fox Game). Chock it up to one of those character adjustments, like "What ever happened to Donkey Kong Junior?" or How Mario's accent changed from Brooklyn to Italian.
Oddly enough, the original version of Fox is still my personal favorite. LOL ^___^
I'm sure my copy of the poster's out there some where.
