Trixie gaped in amazement, she struggled with all her power, but she could not even budge one of the dragon's imprisoning fingers. She mustered up the last of her bravado.
“Unhand me now, you loathsome creature, you do not comprehend the sheer magical power of the pony you seek to constrain, the Great and Powerful Trixie!”
“Please, do demonstrate. It is fun to have a show with one's meal!” The dragon grinned, revealing rows of gleaming, sharp, white teeth.
Trixie blinked and gulped. “Y-you asked for it!” She closed her eyes, and pinched her nose. Purple magic surrounded her horn. Suddenly a battery of fireworks rained from the sky, down upon the dragon.
“Oh, hee, hee, that tickles! You know, if that were ten times as powerful, that would make a nice morning shower! Uhm, you do realize that I am a red dragon, that means I kinda like flames and hot things overall... The color is the clue.”
Trixie blinked. Frantically, she looked down, She saw several vines growing up the walls of the castle. Concentrating as hard as she could she called to them with her magic. With a rustle, they tore themselves free of the stonework and began to wrap themselves around the dragon. “Ha! Now Trixie has you!”
The dragon looked down and saw several tendrils of vine winding themselves around his legs. “Oh, really?” A quick gout of fire reduced the vines to ash.
“Uh... HA!” Trixie was able to wriggle free one hoof, and she spiked a smokeball off the dragon's thumb.
“Oh... Wow... Look at that cloud of smoke. Gee, should I open my hand and let the squirming thing out to find out where it went? Or maybe...” The dragon Spread his wings and flapped a great gust of wind. Vanishing the smoke cloud!
“Anything else, or are you a three trick pony?”
