Wish I coulda been there to experience it

I missed most of the experience due to work, but it's always fun.

This will be the first Mardi Gras I've missed in the last 7 years. I usually play with the street musicians or get invited to a private party as one of the many players to sit in and play along. Nothing I can do about it as things just kinda got sideways with taking care of momma. Everyone raise a glass and have a drink on me. I'll be back again.

Oh no. Not sick hon. She's 90 something and maybe 5 foot tall. She can't reach things in the cabinets and she has troubles opening things (hand strength) or fixing herself meals or driving, the last of which is the big one because she has 2 doctors appointments this month... hence I can't go this year. Sometimes she'll go down and stay with sis (I'll take her) in east Texas then I'll pick her up on my way back home. But this year that's not an option so... :shrug: I'll kick it with some local friends and we'll party as best we can but I'll be back down again. I got roots there.
