I'm really not sure - at least 40 total hours - that's all the individual times added up that i spent working on him. And hopefully i can get a rubber mold done soon so i can cast it in plaster x3 and paint Him lol

What kind of clay did you use to make him? I'm sort of new to this stuff, and I don't know which one to use; I bought some Sculpey, but frankly it sucks. XD

I used just regular Ceramics clay - i can't really remember what kind it was- i think it was red clay, from Standard Ceramics Supply Company. I did use a wire armiture underneath it all to help support his weight. cause he's such a fatty X3

I have some wire, but it doesn't seem to help me much; it bends if I have something heavy attached to it. XP
Did you aluminum foil? I've heard of some people using that so you don't have to use up so much clay.

He's solid all the way to the wires. I've never heard of using Aluminum foil though

i will say that there is a large metal rod that the armiture is attached to via a brace. And the armiture is made of thicker wire - probably 8 gauge or a little lower. Its thick stuff.

Yeah, I'll probably have to go buy some thicker wire. Mine is a 4 I think, I don't remember.
I've never messed with anything other than sculpey; is that ceramics clay hard to use?

No - its actually very easy to use. And just so you know - the higher the gauge number of the wire, the thinner it gets. So 10 gauge wire is thinner than 8 gauge.

Ceramics clay is just basic clay - its easier to use when you keep it nice and moist. And remember to keep the sculpture damp so it doesn't crack on the armiture on you.

Oh, so it's self-drying? That's pretty cool.
I didn't know about the wire, and I didn't want to sound stupid. XD I have some, but it's only because I bought my stuff at a walmart near my house.

Is it expensive? I might use it. I've been meaning to make an action figure.
